Kan man ändra i PDF Filer ?

Ja, det kan man. Om mottagaren har den fulla versionen av Adobe Acrobat så kan de ändra innehållet. För att förhindra ändringar måste PDF filen krypteras. Lyckligtvis går det enkelt att göra med pdfFactory Pro.

Vad är inbäddade typsnitt?

Det är ett typsnitt som är direkt inbäddad i PDF filen. Genom att använda inbäddade typsnitt garanteras att läsaren av PDF filen kommer att se originaltypsnitt oberoende av om läsaren har installerat dessa typsnitt i sitt system. I allmänhet är det inte nödvändigt att bädda in typsnitt eftersom en nära överensstämmelse ersätts med ett typsnitt som är tillgängligt på datorn där det visas

Vilka typsnitt stödjer pdfFactory ?
Programmet stöder OpenType, Type 1 och TrueType typsnitt.

pdfFactory Pro stödjer url-er med http://, file:// och standardformat för e-post. Andra länkar stöds ej för närvarande, dvs ej inbäddade länkar.

Varför saknas knappen "Skicka" ?
Knappen "Skicka" tas bort när pdfFactory inte kan initialisera MAPI. Detta kan hända om e-postklienten du använder inte är kompatibel med MAPI eller om en standard e-postklient ej är konfigurerad. För att konfigurera en standard e-postklient, så öpnna Internet Explorer, gå till Verktyg, Internet-alternativ och fliken Program och ställ in din e-postklient.

Hur kan jag styra kvaliteten på grafiken?

Hur skapar jag flera PDF filer på en gång utan att öppna och skriva ut dokumenten

Öppna mappen skrivare från Windows startmeny och välj pdfFactory till din standardskrivare
Öppna pdfFactorys egenskaper, utskriftsinställningar och markera "Visa inte dialog" och markera också "Spara filen i mappen för AutoSpara"
Öppna Utforskaren och markera de filer du vill skapa PDF filer av
Högerklicka på dem och välj "skriv ut"

Detta kommer att skriva ut alla de markerade filerna till pdfFactory och pdfFactory kommer att för varje dokument skapa en PDF fil i mappen för AutoSpara

Hur tar jag bort marginalerna i pdfFactory?
Du kan ta bort marginalerna från pdfFactory, genom att gå till pdfFactorys egenskaper i mappen för skrivare.. Högerklicka på pdfFactory och välj egenskaper (Win9x) eller Standardinställningar Dokument (NT) eller Utskriftsinställningar (2K/XP) och ställ in marginalerna till 0 för pdfFactory.

Varför är mina PDF filer mindre än originalen vid utskrift?

Detta beror p att Acrobat Reader skalar dokumentet. Ställ in Acrobat Reader så här:
I utskriftsdialogen under avsnittet Sidhantering, så välj Sidskala "Ingen"

Vad är skillnaden mellan pdfFactorys förhandsgranskning och den aktuella PDF filen?
I de flesta fall ser de likadana ut, men om ditt dokument innehåller komplex grafik eller inbäddade typer, är det bäst att kontrollera PDF filen genom att trycka på knappen ”Titta på PDF”.

Hur kombinerar jag flera dokument till en enda PDF fil?
pdfFactory kommer automatiskt att kombinera dokument åt dig så snart som du har fönstret för pdfFactory öppet. Fortsätt bara att skriva ut till pdfFactory så kommer förhandsgranskningen att visa när nya utskriftsjobb tas emot.

Vad är skillnaden mellan Acrobat och pdfFactory?
Även om du har den fulla versionen av Acrobat, så finns det många anledningar till att även använda pdfFactory:

In some cases the installation of pdfFactory fails to properly install the driver in your Printers folder. When this occurs, pdfFactory must be installed from the Printers folder using the Add Printer Wizard.

Windows XP/2000 (requires Administrative privileges)

extract all the pdfFactory files into a temporary folder on your hard disk, e.g. c:\fptemp. WINRAR is necessary to extract the files and can be downloaded here.
uninstall any existing version of pdfFactory on your system:

Using the Start menu, Run, type the command "c:\fptemp\setup /uninstall" (without the quotes) to uninstall. Do this even if the pdfFactory printer is not visible in your Printers folder, because it will clean up any remaining traces from an unsuccessful installation.

Make sure to reboot your system after uninstalling, before you proceed with the new installation.
After rebooting, run the command "c:\fptemp\setup /inf" (without the quotes). This will create the INF files necessary to perform an Add Printer Wizard installation.
open the Printers folder
from the File menu, run the Server Properties command
click on the Ports tab
check if the port fpp3: appears in the list of ports. If it does, click Cancel and skip the next 5 steps.
click the Add Port button, then click New Port Type
when prompted for a folder name, enter c:\fptemp and click OK. If you get a Windows "Hardware Installation" warning about Windows Logo testing, just click "Continue Anyway".
in the list of printer ports, make sure that fpp3: is highlighted, then click New Port
