NXPowerLite 4.2.3 now available
2 August 2010
We have today updated all NXPowerLite products to version
4.2.3. We recommend that all NXPowerLite users install the
update, which is free of charge for existing NXPowerLite 4
users.
NXPowerLite Desktop Edition 4.2.3
- Changes have been made to the free evaluation
period. Previously users were given 20 trial uses, this
has now changed to 30-day time period. The move is hoped
to accelerate sales cycles.
- The Desktop Edition has also been brought into line
with improvements made in the development of NXPowerLite
for File Servers/Small Business File Server. The
optimization ‘engine’ is now aligned in both products
and it has enabled us to enhance the interoperability
between the products. This has introduced a more
intelligent optimization process and should ensure
better visual content integrity no matter how many times
a file is optimized.
- We have become aware of issues in processing files
created in Office 2010. So, NXPowerLite will no longer
optimize files created in Office versions later than
2008. Files created in Office 2010 will be skipped
(Office 2010 support will be included in a forthcoming
release, due later this year).
- A number of bug fixes are also included in this
release.
NXPowerLite for File Servers / NXPowerLite for Small
Business File Servers 4.2.3
- These products have been fully localized in both
Japanese and German languages. A single installer has
been made which incorporates the three languages. Each
language will be displayed according to the regional
settings of the machine on which NXPowerLite is
installed.
- NXPowerLite can now be installed and run on Windows
2000 SP4.
- NXPowerLite will no longer optimize files created in
Office versions later than 2008. Files created in Office
2010 will be skipped (Office 2010 support will be
included in a forthcoming release, due later this year).
- A number of bug fixes are also included in this
release.

disappear or mail merge operations not to work properly
